How do I cancel my hosting account? What are the policies?

 

SHARED HOSTING - HOW TO CANCEL HOSTING ACCOUNT

The following procedure is per the requirements outlined in the Planet2Net Terms of Service Agreement or otherwise known as the TOS.
All clients are governed by this agreement and have accepted the Planet2Net TOS by either a. Upon original signup for services on the Planet2Net website or by your continued acceptance by which you continue your monthly payments until such services are canceled through the below method.

Shared Hosting Cancellation :
ALL Shared Hosting account cancellations MUST be done via the following 2 methods:

  1. Through the submission of a support desk ticket 
  2. Through the online Service Cancellation "Button" located under the service listing in the billing system

Cancellation notice must be received at least five (5) business days prior to your billing date.

  • Phone requests will not constitute acceptance of any cancellation.
  • Verbial notification will not be accepted

Upon receipt of proper cancellation notification, Planet2Net Web Hosting will send you an email notice of cancellation confirmation this email will include a cancellation number.

Once you receive this email we will cancel said account within (3) business days unless other arrangements are made and all credit card charges or billing will cease immediately.

If the account has a balance due at the time of cancellation, this balance must be paid in full. Cancellation does not absolve the account holder of any outstanding balance obligations.

We must receive all cancellations through our support desk in the billing system NO EXCEPTIONS!

Refund Policy

1. Within first 30 days of ordering service - Full Refund
2. Before 1st of the month - We cancel account and terminate hosting account and will terminate all future billings.
3. After 1st of the month - Account will be canceled but No Refund will be issued.

Planet2Net Web Hosting's services are independent of account usage and domain name records, and are still in effect regardless if the account holder's domain is pointing to Planet2Net Web Hosting's name server or to some other providers servers. If the account holder transfers a domain without properly notifying Planet2Net Web Hosting, they will continue to be charged/billed until the cancellation guidelines have been followed. In other words, until you have notified Planet2Net Web Hosting of your cancellation, through our Support Desk we are still providing your account with our services, using our hard disk space and server resources and you will be billed for same.

Refund Policy:
Our refund policy does not apply to any additional items or services not included in the hosting plans, such as domain names, extra bandwidth, additional features, etc. Any setup fees, overage fees or policy violations are non refundable.

No refunds are available after 30 days. Any cancellation request must be made according to our cancellation guidelines above. Cancellations via the telephone and regular email are not accepted.

credit card refunds will be credited back to the account holder's card within 30 days of receipt of cancellation.

Any accounts terminated by Planet2Net Web Hosting for violation of our Hosting Policies do not qualify for the 30-day money back guarantee and will receive no refunds.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
This is the only way for you to cancel your account with Planet2Net as we do not accept email or telephone cancellations, this is to protect our customers as well as to insure we protect ourselves.

Please note that it is up to you to cancel your account, we do not issue refunds because you forgot to cancel your hosting before the next billing cycle, when you need to cancel please allow enough time to transfer your account to a new provider so that your files are not lost.
